I’m back at the office after some days completely off work. I’ve spent the weekend with a dear friend and our children at Gaustablikk. Fresh air, cozy cabin life, hikes in the mountains and evenings with those long conversations and the fireplace lit. No wonder why the mountains attracts so many Norwegians, the views are stunning and the quietness makes you relax like nowhere else. All rested and ready for a new week!

Waking up to stunning views from the cabin and frosty landscape.

View from our hike towards Gaustatoppen. The view from the summit is impressive, as one can see an area of approximately 60,000 km², one sixth of Norway’s mainland.

Love the dining table! Design by Line Raaen for the cabin. Photography © Elisabeth Heier

The brand new cabin belongs to my friend Lines family and is for rent. For requests contact line.raaen.a@gmail.com
