Small things matters and my children is constantly reminding me of how we all can do better in order to think about our environment. Out running errands last week we came across some super nice straws at the local Granit store, made of glass and a very good alternative to plastic straws. Not quite as colorful as the two small ones wanted but I love them. Other good alternatives to plastic straws are straws made of bamboo or metal, and if you know where to find some – please comment so we can share the good tips!

Love how pretty the glass straw is. I have stainless steel straws and we bought them off Amazon. Great for my boys as they can be quite tough on stuff. I can also fling then in a bag and take them with me for when we need a straw in a restaurant but don’t want their plastic one.

Thanks for sharing! Such a good idea to bring your own straws instead of using the plastic ones in restaurants etc.
